NWS YTD
8-8 -2.53 units (Match-Ups)
1-4 +0.98 units(Outrights)
Total: -1.55 units
Once again the books not putting much out there for the Nationwide Series, but here goes:
Match-Ups
3.00 unit Stephen Leicht (-115) over Jason Keller (@5dimes)
This is a very talented kid that will be in a very good ride(RCR #29) for this race. Remember first seeing Leicht win a late model stock touring series race here in South Carolina when he was only 15 years old. Would love to see him back in a full time ride in the NWS. Can easily post a Top 10 today if not Top 5. Thinking that should be enough to beat Keller.
1.00 unit Michael Waltrip (+115) over Mike Bliss (@thegreek)
Like this mainly for two reasons, love the way the MWR teams have performed in both series so far this year. Competitive and very much improved over their performance the past few years (even though Reutimann did very well in this car the past 2 seasons).
Bliss, even though he did run 7th last time out, has struggled quite a bit out of the gate in 2009, 3 of the 5 races thus far were finishes of 35th, 22nd and 28th. Still not sure they're all the way back yet.
1.00 unit David Ragan (-160) over Jason Leffler (@5dimes)
Hate paying these high lines because anything can happen but if Ragan is around at the end without any incidents this one should be easy.
Outrights
0.50 David Ragan (+1500) @thegreek
Edwards (@+110) and Busch (@+160) are the clear favorites but no value at all. Gonna ride with Ragan again here, sooner or later he'll get that first win and Nashville is known for having first time winners.
0.25 The Field (+1000) @thegreek
Alot of good cars with young drivers included here, Kelly Bires(driving for KHI in a car with a win already this year) had an 8th and a 5th here LY. Justin Allgaier has looked really good in the first 5 races as well as Michael Annett, Michael McDowell and Brendan Gaughan. This has been a good track for Steven Wallace and newcomer Ricky Stenhouse is very fast.
Have seen stranger things happen.
Good luck to everyone.
